New Year's Resolution

20 sponge balls

SAFETY

Children need to be aware of their surroundings so they do not bump into one another

PURPOSE

This is a fun game where the children have to perform an exercise that is part of their New Year's Resolution.

SETUP

Spread the children out around the room as well as place all the balls on the floor in your playing area.

INSTRUCTIONS


Have all the students pick one exercise they want to be their fitness New Year's resolution.  During the game, they will have to perform this exercise.

Their exercise should be a callisthenic they can perform in the room.

On 'go', the children will start swatting the ball at other children in an effort to hit their classmates with the ball.  At no time can a child pick up a ball, it can only be hit.

If a child gets hit with a ball, they have to perform 10 reps of their New Year's resolution exercise and then they are free to return to the game.

MODIFICATIONS


To make it harder, add more balls or have them do 20 reps of their exercise.
