PURPOSE
Each student must bowl a sponge ball (snowball) at the opposing teams pin not crossing the center line. Each time the pin gets knocked over, pause the game and award a point.
SETUP
Two teams will be divided evenly on each half of your room. Start each team off with 12 balls and one bowling pin they have to protect as shown in the image.
INSTRUCTIONS
Divide your class into 2 even teams who can only go on their half of the room.
Set up a bowling pin behind each teams end line.
On 'go' the children will bowl the sponge balls (snowballs) at the opposing teams pin in an effort to knock it down.
Each time a pin gets knocked down, pause the game and award a point.
Children may block the incoming balls to protect their pin.
No child can be a guard and must keep moving around the room picking up loose balls to bowl.
MODIFICATIONS
To make it harder, allow each team to have a guard for the pin.
